New photos and a (bad) CP for you all

Post by XeniX »

Evenin' all

Here are some things I've been folding recently:

Image

Chinese Dragon v3.0. This is my third attempt at a chinese dragon, folded from one uncut rectangle.. The scales are done a la Ryuzin 3.5 (I think, I've never actually seen the CP for it, but I can't see any other way of achieving scales like that :? )

Image

Tiger, by Hideo Komatsu. folded from a 30 inch square of homemade foil paper. I accidently set the colour mode on my camera to "vivid" here; the colour of the stripes is a dark purple colour, not blue.

Image

Buddha, by Hojyo Takashi. This model rules, really impressive and easy to fold. Mine is made from a 30 inch square of yellow tissue foil. The foil shines through the paper making it look gold.

There's also a badly drawn CP of my "Red Eagle Dragon" (pictured below)

Here's the CP:

Nothing special here, its a frog base with a graft in one corner to form the horns. Standard frog base/eagle design :D . This model only looks good(I use the term "good" in the broadest possible sense) when made from foil or something that holds its shape. Copy paper will NOT give you desirable results.

Thanks for looking,

Martin

Excellent foldings!
I really love the Chinese Dragon.

Thanks for the CP and could you please provide another shot of your Red Eagle Dragon from another angle? :D
Great Model!

It's head is like the one on the pheonix 3.0. Is that intentional? And you were right about the copy paper.

Very good dragon! Never mind, that it is just frog-base. In fact, it is much better to make so great model from "just" frog base instead of complicated complex method - it means you are artist. =D>
