Origami Shops in Amsterdam

Post by Max »

Hi everyone!
First of all, thanks for this great forum!

I am going to visit Amsterdam next week, and i plan to visit some shops there to buy some good paper. I especially search for the book "Works of Kamiya Satoshi 1995-2003" by the same author.

Anybody knows i there's a chance to find the book there?

Greetings and thanks in advance!

I doubt it whether you will be able to find that book in Amsterdam.

there are two places worth visiting:
- Vlieger - a paper store
- The Japanese Store

There are two stores you should check out in Amsterdam:

- The Japanese Store ('t Japanse Winkeltje), Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal. They sell 50x70 cm foil (silver and gold) http://www.japansewinkeltje.nl/www.japa ... je.nl/www/

- Vlieger, a paper store at Amstel 34 (Amstel is also the name of the river, but this is the street called Amstel) They sell a lot of papers, the white Ersatz is great since it is very thin and they also sell amazing washi type of paper - see my example of the What have you folded lately topic. The type I bought is only available in yellow, red and blue and is at the top of the rack http://www.vliegerpapier.nl

Both stores are in downtown Amsterdam
