Ordering from Origami House

Post by angrydemon »

I REALLY REALLY want to get Works of Satoshi Kamiya. My dad is okay with it but my mom thinks it's very suspicious that Origami House only accepts cash and money orders. Have any of you ever had any problems getting books from there? That is, provided you aren't actually being paid to keep things quiet.

You can always get the book from Nicolas Terry's shop or The Source (OUSA) where you can pay via credit card.
So long and keep folding ^_^

Or you could order it here : http://www.sasugabooks.com/product_info ... s_id=34808

I bought mine from that site and it was delivered ( from the US to the Netherlands ) in about 7 or 8 days.

72 dollars??!! Damn they're getting more and more expensive. But I don't think my parents actually care. Thanks for your help!

It's a problem with the Japanese banking system. It's VERY expensive to process bank transfers or to set up credit card transactions for a business in Japan. Origami House has been very reliable for me.
Yes, I am that Joseph Wu. Not that it really matters. And please call me Joseph or Joe. "Mr. Wu" is my dad. :)

I've ordered a few books directly from Origami House. Never had a problem. It takes a while to get your books though, but don't panic. Actually, I heard that they just switched their delivery service from what I think amounts to "the extra space left on the plane" to something more reliable, and quicker.

If you can't trust the publisher for the book, who can you trust? =p

I have very good stories about Origami House. I always sent my money cash and ask them to e-mail me once they receive it and send out the money. Without any problems. Very reliable people. They also respond to my questions very quickly, which is also a sign for good service...

Ordering from Origami House

Post by gordigami »

Just a brief informational note:
Origami House is reliable, but does take a long time.
Sasuga Bookstore is also quite reliable, only takes a few days, and
is slightly more expensive.
It is located in Waltham, Massachusetts .
Hope that this helps...
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .

Great news! After 6 months of nagging my parents to mail the order, we finally decided to use the more expensive method and order it online from Sasuga Books... which only took 10 minutes. Just wondering, since I live in Malaysia, when should I expect it to arrive?

In my experience, international air mail takes 10-14 business days after the order has been processed. But it's totally variable.
