Hey im kinda a newb and this is my first post.I was just wondering if anyone has done lang's paper wasp.
I cant get it! ](*,)
every time it looks like my precreases are off and then i cant fold it.
sombody plz help i have been tring this for a while now and it dosnt make a whole lot of sence to me.

i use to make this mistake and start folding (after pre creasing) with the wrong orientation, if you don't start the wrong way you get screwed pretty quick, i don't have the book handy so i can't help much more

I've folded that wasp a couple of times. maybe you can tell us where exactly you have problems?

as you wrote that you're a newbie did you mean you're a newbie to origami or to this forum?

The steps i am having trouble with are 3 and 4
it shows(after the steps are done) that it makes a sqaure of the creases but it dosnt when i fold it it turns into a strange rectangle. Also the creases dont intersect the diagonals like they should.

and i am not too much of a noob to origami just to the forum (I have folded almost all models in the rest of origami insects and kin)

perhaps your paper isn't a square? thats the only thing i can think of

i think i got it(think). my orientation of the paper was wrong and i was folding to the wrong guidline. :oops:
