Ace of Spade
From Alice in Wonderland, inspired by Walt Disney's version. I tried to do all the color-changes possible in this model. The spear is from a separate rectangle of 1:3,5 proportions (and is also color-changed.)
To me, this was hard to fold. I had to design every part, and after fold everything from a single uncut saquare. I folded this finalized model in a hurry, so it doesn't look like that good... It needs some better shape.... Fingers are weird... and the proportions are not the way I wold like. But I think it's worth to submit to the challenge. More shots on flickr...
Well... seeing that Quentin decided the topic for this month he can't win the challenge according to the rules, which makes mikiller the judge for next month.
Congratulations to all participants. There's been some amazing models this month
Congrats to Mikiller and qtrollip for their models and to everyone who participated. I must say, I do like the idea of having more than one model in each of the three positions.
Oh, and as promised, the CP for my ace of spades and his spear are available on my flickr galery (link below). Be warned though as it is a very hard model to make.
Congratulations to all the participants; it has been a fun month to watch. One of the things I especially enjoyed about this month's challenge was that it inspired several folders to make a different style of model from the usual competitition contributions- i.e. interactive models.
I thought Daydreamer's Rorschach Plot was a wonderful, creative idea and I also got a kick out of Snowblue's Chang Chang Chang.
