Hi!
I'm trying to fold Sharon Turvey's diamond. I'm not sure if I'm doing the lock right, but I got an acceptable result from kami by just gathering all the flaps at once (no new folding). I don't think that is right as the diagram talks about precreases. Now I wanted to do the diamond in the same sort of paper that is used for the diamond on the frontpage of BOS magazine 223 where the diagrams are shown. This is a plasticlike paper and slippery so now it doesn't work to just close the diamond without any new creases. Therefore can anyone tell me how to do the lock so it will hold even the slippy, plasticlike paper? I don't understand the locking method in the magazine.
I would love to be able to do it for tomorrow when my exhibition starts. Thanks!
Regards,
Anine

I haven't seen those diagrams, but I folded it from the CP and I can assure you, the final lock is just put all the flaps together at once in an organized way. Are you sure you are using the same paper used in the BOS magazine? Maybe they used a paper similar in appearance but with different texyure or maybe they used glue.
