SpKeny, are you Keny Córdova from grupo origami patrones?
Congratulations for you wasp, it´s beautiful.

Have you done that CP yet ?
Someone on Grupo Origami Patrones has sent this guide to help finding reference marks:

But there are some landmarks to do the insect´s body that are missing. If you could help us find them, I would like to try folding this CP.

is this model easy to colapse into the base? it looks quite tricky
(by the way all of the wasps on this topic are beautiful :D )

Nature's diversity is huge. I spent the long weekend at a farm and there were many wasps small, medium and large. All of them had only 2 wings

Friet wrote:I've never even completed a simple cp, but the wasp looks pretty doable. I mean, it has mountain and valley folds in it and the structure looks pretty logical. (unlike Komatsu's Lion CP for an example, which makes no sense to me at all) Maybe I'll try it once I finish some of the models I have lying around.
IMHO, this is not true at all.

I have successfully folded Komatsu's Lion from the CP. Once you have the base it is very easy to finish it. And if you have a CP with mountain/valley assignment (as the the one which was published in Origami Tanteidan Magazine) it is pretty doable.

I have just managed to collapse Kamiya's Wasp 2.0 base. IMO it is way much trickier to collapse this base than the lion base. I think the secrect lies in dividing and conquering, i.e. dividing the CP in a few parts and solving each part separately.

Now I am looking at this base thinking with myself if I will be able to finish it as beautifully as the pictures posted above. Even though I used large paper (66x66cm) I think I will have to fold it again using a much thinner sheet of paper. At least now I know how to collapse it!

If anyone who has folded this model could give me some pointers on how to finish it, it would be really nice.
