Dark Side of the Moon by origami_madness, on Flickr

I'm sure you've heard of the Man in the Moon-- but I bet they didn't tell you about the Giant Robot on the other side of it. With glowing eyes (otherwise how'd you know it was evil?)

That's right, we've got a double silhouette mechanism going on here.

Astounding.
If it's one paper, it would make almost like a painting.

[img(take this out)]<your>[/img(take this out)]
imageshack.us.
Select browse.
Find picture. Go to Direct link. Paste the URL of the direct link in the <>. Post away! :D

Edited:
Alright. I'll try and rephrase.

Code: Select all

The middle **, you'll paste a URL from a website. In this case, Imageshack.us
Go to imageshack.us and click "Browse". You'll find it opens your folder. Click "Upload".
Find the file that is the picture of the image you want to put onto the forum in a post.
Once it finishes uploading the image to the internet, you'll find it leads to a page.
In the page, you'll see your image, and a bunch of different codes and URLs. In one, there is one called "Direct" in the top most of the different URLs of which to copy.
Copy the one that says "Direct" in where it shows the code

Code: Select all

Place the URL where it says URL. Doing this, you'll be able to post the image in this fashion:

Code: Select all

Yes, I assume so.
I personally don't have one (need an account to post, I think), but I'm sure there are plenty who do who can help you.

Yup :3
I saw you put the URL in before, and made a paragraph about what to do with that, but good on you for solving it ^^

So here we are, a month's already passed - too quickly for many who didn't find time to participate, but here are the worthy finalists and winners !

Third place

I'm not entirely sure that anyone's heard of the Giant Robot behind the moon, but these clean folds and fun selling points were enough to convince this judge to attribute a third place to ahudson - well done ! :)

Second place

Scotsdreamer, the new Scot on the block made an impression with a variation of the crane I found very cool. I also really liked the way not only the inside of the model is shaped but also the outside, definitely something I had in mind when the subject was posted. I sure hope we'll see more of your folds around here ! (if it were me, I'd have ironed this bird  )

So here it is. The silhouette of a traditional crane on a raindrop.

I come from Scotland and yes rain does come in at you from the side (artistic license)

First place

On to the February judge !

It should come as no surprise that snowblue makes it as this month's winner and new judge, congratulations ! Though I have a preference for the daylight picture as it also fits the theme of the month better, his clever model stood out the second it was posted, as did his entry last month.

Thanks to all who took part - keep at it, those challenges are one of the best ways I know of of improving your folds. The real bummer with having won is that one can't participate for two months
