As far as I am concerned, there are few models that jump to mind immediately that fall under this topic, but the few that do I really like.
Two of my favourites are :
- a dish of spaghetti being forked up by, well, a fork;
- Sunburst's cup of blood; (or wine

I've been looking on and off to find the first model's picture, but have not been very successful, I'll edit this post as soon as I find it or if somebody remembers it before I do. Sunburst's model is from last November and should be easy to spot in his gallery.
Basically, you can make anything that can be found on your table and is meant to be eaten. A few restrictions are as follows :
- no livestock; animals or parts thereof should be closer to ready-for-consumption than to alive-and-kicking;
- one sheet, no cuts, square or rectangle (but with a maximum aspect ratio of 2:1);
- glue is fine if it allows you to model a sheet in a particular way which would otherwise not be practically achievable (think "fugu" by Sipho Mabona, for which the topology of the sheet is a cylinder).
Make it look delicious !
