I had a REALLY similar idea, Joshua. It didn't turn out the way I wanted so it became:

From a square. Opens and closes and grabs stuff. Really fun to have. And looks like a carnivorous plant.

Great folding, guys!

This month, i propose a principe based on a simple bird base pinched. I saw one day a magician who used the type of folding to construct a dollar butterfly. I tried to find this and to adapt with variations:
