Klipspringer
Image

Designed and folded by Quentin Trollip from an uncut square of light brown tissue mc'ed onto white washi.
Completely closed-back.

Designed around the big strong hind quarters, short thin horns and large white ears. They use their ears as type of communication.

The Afrikaans name is directly translated to English as "Rock jumper".

I haven't posted in a while since I upgraded to Windows 7 and got a load of hanji, 84 square feet of it actually :D ...

So I folded Roman Diaz's Singing Cardinal, folded from a 25 cm sheet of double hanji mc'd to each other.

What exactly does methyl cellulose do? Does it keep the model in its position or something? I hear a lot of people on this forum talking about it, but I never knew what it was.

Quickly said, it's a substance which combines with the normal cellulose in paper, making it more crisp and letting it hold a better crease, without making it weigh much more than it did to start with. It's used as "size", the glue which keeps your paper together, and is water-soluble in cold water, making it ideal for wetfolding.

In USA, you can get in Blick Art Store for 11 bucks a bottle of pure cellulose.

Yup, it is too fat, but its sort of hard to narrow it when your paper is thick (tissue foil) and your paper is below the recommended size. :D Lets just say it ate a large breakfast; a heaping fill of waffles with whipped cream, bacon, toast, and eggs. Yum! :) Yeah, the one that I have is good, but as hanji is made of many different kinds of fiber, like some are from mulberry, some from others (more than 5 types I believe) so your hanji may be completely different from mine.

AK827, I got mine pure too from amazon, though I don't know where you live (or do I? :) ) It is also found in wallpaper paste (No idea what that is, sticks wall paper to the walls?), so you might be lucky with that. But check the ingredients!!!

Thank you Haomaru!
