NEW BOOK, Won Park - Dollar Origami: 15 Origami Projects...

Post by pharmjod »

For anyone that is interested, Won Park's new book is now up for pre-order on Amazon. "Dollar Origami: 15 Origami Projects Including the Amazing Koi Fish. I for one am STOKED! Of course the book cover says 10 projects and the title on Amazon search says 15, so I guess we'll have to wait and see. I can't wait to find out what all of the diagrams will be. I'm sure some will be repeats of what is available already, but I am sure there will be some new ones.

Won told me it was to be distributed in kit form. I certainly hope it comes out in time for CenterFold, at which he will be an invited guest. I can say the same for my own book.

Might anyone have any illumination as to when Won's book will become available ?
I would prefer fairly well substantiated info , as opposed to random guesswork , if possible .

The only info available is on Amazon, which lists Mid-November for about $15 USD. I haven't heard any more accurate estimates from Won Park. Did he say anything at Centerfold?

Thank you , Hank & Michael , for your input .
I don't mind waiting until November , or even longer , if it ensures that Won Park is treated well by the publisher , and is more than highly compensated for his efforts .
I hope that he sells a million books !

To simply pass on " O List " information , apparently OUSA " The Source " has in stock and is shipping , whereas
Amazon seems to be delayed a bit .

There's minimal overlap - only the scorpion and the koi. Extreme is much more extensive and more difficult. Money Origami is a good starting point.

So whether you get both depends on what you are after - Extreme is definitely quite a challenge.

i was looking for convenience, really. i was going to get both, when i noticed that ousa dropped money origami. i wanted to get them from ousa as i can also get practice money paper from them, too. i can still buy both books from amazon, but a lot of the play money apparently doesn't the right ratio.

do you all use real money when folding?

is there a reliable source of play money which is printed on both side and the right ratio?
