This fold was inspired by:

1. a hit TV show
2. a seasonal celebration
3. my favorite mascott
4. a classic origami fold

Combining all four I cam up with this -

This one just invites your creative comments (and puns) - but keep it possitive please !

Right now I go to Temple University, and we're the Owls, and our colors are cherry and white. So I figured I'd fold Katsuta Kyohei's owl in red. This turned out much better than I expected for six-inch kami (Side note: This is the paper I used, which is apparently lower in quality but has worked awesomely for me so far).

And finally, a draft of Futurama's Dr. Zoidberg.

A couple of my friends installed a new chicken coup in their back yard - their 3 new hens arrived last week and are now pecking and scraping happily. After spending there a nice afternoon, I spent that evening designing a chicken model to give them as a gift. I wanted to make the model simple, plumply shaped, that could stand and roost.
This is the result. The stomach is closed and curved, just the right shape to fit a regular size chicken egg in there. I made a all black model (one colour) and a colour-switch model (white and orange):

And this is the second model, roosting on a rather large egg:

I've started diagramming this - it's really fun. As a result, I changed some of the proportions slightly (made the wings smaller, simplified the tail and bent the neck forward) and the newer model are more stable.

Hope you like,
Assaf

I just finished Kamiya's Chocobo today, and last week i made Lang's flying grasshopper and possibly the world's smallest Ancient Dragon… 4/5 of an A4 sheet cut to a square- it's about 7 cm long...
