Gordon Yu, Esq., MBA passed the CIPP/E on his first try.  What about you? How to Pass the CIPP/E Santa Clara Law administered an old version of the CIPP exam in January 2015 to over 20 of its law students.  Prof. Eric Goldman reports that only half of them passed.  Furthermore, he reports, "I didn't see any clear correlation between law school GPA and passage rates." Prof. Goldman's students agreed that the CIPP is a test of "minutiae."  They recommended memorization and recitation to pass.  They're right. I recommend you recite (read out loud) the contents of this book as you work through it. Why This Book Exists First, I was unimpressed by IAPP's training materials.  The $75, 382-page IAPP book wastes the test-taker's time by drowning them in a deluge of unnecessary detail.  Ignore it.  Then there's IAPP's $1,000 CIPP/E training.  This book discusses my concerns with that training.  Don't worry about going off-brand.  IAPP FAQ #7 states, "to maintain accreditation, ISO requires a separation between the IAPP's certification and training departments."  And thank God for that. Second, this book puts the test-taker on equal footing as someone who has $1,000 to spend.  Whether IAPP's $1,000 price tag is reasonable is beyond the scope of this book. Third, many privacy professionals planned to take the CIPP/E after they finished their GDPR implementations.  I wanted to help and support them. About the Author Gordon Yu, Esq., MBA, CIPP/E , is currently a partner at Westmoreland Partners, LLP, a group of C-level executives who offer integrated financial, operations, and legal advisory services.  He also serves as general counsel and CFO of Advancing Women in Product, a nonprofit. He has educated hundreds of executives, professionals, graduates, and undergraduates at the George Washington University, where he earned the top 10% of faculty distinction, as well as his JD and MBA.  He has taken and passed many exams, and also written and administered several more. Previous to his current roles, he was chief legal officer of a family of healthcare providers; a Capitol Hill lobbyist; a Manhattan litigation associate at a (then) Global 10 law firm; and a federal employee in both the largest and second largest agencies (Defense and HHS), where he managed a $27M cybersecurity program. He is licensed to practice law in New York, the District of Colorado, the Eastern District of Michigan, and before the United States Supreme Court.

Geralt is a witcher, a man whose magic powers, enhanced by long training and a mysterious elixir, have made him a brilliant fighter and a merciless assassin. Yet he is no ordinary murderer: his targets are the multifarious monsters and vile fiends that ravage the land and attack the innocent. He roams the country seeking assignments, but gradually comes to realise that while some of his quarry are unremittingly vile, vicious grotesques, others are the victims of sin, evil or simple naivety. One reviewer said: 'This book is a sheer delight. It is beautifully written, full of vitality and endlessly inventive: its format, with half a dozen episodes and intervening rest periods for both the hero and the reader, allows for a huge range of characters, scenarios and action. It's thought-provoking without being in the least dogmatic, witty without descending to farce and packed with sword fights without being derivative. The dialogue sparkles; characters morph almost imperceptibly from semi-cliche to completely original; nothing is as it first seems. Sapkowski succeeds in seamlessly welding familiar ideas, unique settings and delicious twists of originality: his Beauty wants to rip the throat out of a sensitive Beast; his Snow White seeks vengeance on all and sundry, his elves are embittered and vindictive. It's easily one of the best things I've read in ages.'

Soon to be a major motion picture from Paramount Pictures starring John Lithgow, Jason Clarke, and Amy Seimetz! King's iconic, beloved classic is 'so beautifully paced that you cannot help but be pulled in' Guardian 'SOMETIMES...DEAD IS BETTER' The house looked right, felt right to Dr Louis Creed. Rambling, old, unsmart and comfortable. A place where the family could settle; the children grow and play and explore. The rolling hills and meadows of Maine seemed a world away from the fume-choked dangers of Chicago. Only the occasional big truck out on the two-lane highway, grinding up through the gears, hammering down the long gradients, growled out an intrusive threat. But behind the house and far away from the road: that was safe. Just a carefully cleared path up into the woods where generations of local children have processed with the solemn innocence of the young, taking with them their dear departed pets for burial. A sad place maybe, but safe. Surely a safe place. Not a place to seep into your dreams, to wake you, sweating with fear and foreboding. The Power of Habit: A Complete Summary - Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg is a detailed examination of several case studies about how habit can impact our everyday life. This book contains details and the experiences of individual people, corporations and also many organizations in order to show us why habits are made in the first place, and how are they made.  Also, the author shows us that many habits are used in business; for example, when people want to attract customers. If habits are badly managed, it can lead to devastating results both in personal and business life.  According to the author, there are case studies which show that people with unusual habits formed those habits thanks to the neurological mechanism in the human brain that forms habits, and human habit is actually the result of constantly repeating of one event. There are three parts to habit formation. These include the cue, which triggers a habit loop, which is a certain routine for execution, and feedback, or a reward, which then tells to brain that it needs to repeat certain events in order to achieve this reward and/or to get this feedback.  Also, the author says that habits can be changed but that even though a habit can be changed, no habit can be erased completely.  The Power of Habit is more than just a scientific work filled with scientific information. It is also a book that can help us to understand why there are habits in our lives, how they are created, whether they can be changed, and, if yes, how they can be changed. This book is practical literature with a practical approach to solving a problem.  Here is a Preview of what you will get: A Full Book Summary An Analysis Fun quizzes Quiz Answers Etc

He was framed for murder. Now he needs a miracle. 22 years ago Quincy Miller was sentenced to life without parole. He was accused of killing Keith Russo, a lawyer in a small Florida town. But there were no reliable witnesses and little motive. Just the fact that Russo had botched Quincy's divorce case, that Quincy was black in a largely all-white town and that a blood-splattered torch was found in the boot of Quincy's car. A torch he swore was planted. A torch that was conveniently destroyed in a fire just before his trial. The lack of evidence made no difference to judge or jury. In the eyes of the law Quincy was guilty and, no matter how often he protested his innocence, his punishment was life in prison. Finally, after 22 years, comes Quincy's one and only chance of freedom. An innocence lawyer and minister, Cullen Post, takes on his case. Post has exonerated eight men in the last ten years. He intends to make Quincy the next. But there were powerful and ruthless people behind Russo's murder. They prefer that an innocent man dies in jail rather than one of them. There's one way to guarantee that. They killed one lawyer 22 years ago, and they'll kill another without a second thought. A NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER Famed American actress Demi Moore at last tells her own story in a surprisingly intimate and emotionally charged memoir. For decades, Demi Moore has been synonymous with celebrity. From iconic film roles to high-profile relationships, Moore has never been far from the spotlight – or the headlines. Even as Demi was becoming the highest paid actress in Hollywood, however, she was always outrunning her past, just one step ahead of the doubts and insecurities that defined her childhood. Throughout her rise to fame and during some of the most pivotal moments of her life, Demi battled addiction, body image issues, and childhood trauma that would follow her for years – all while juggling a skyrocketing career and at times negative public perception.  As her success grew, Demi found herself questioning if she belonged in Hollywood, if she was a good mother, a good actress – and, always, if she was simply good enough. As much as her story is about adversity, it is also about tremendous resilience. In this deeply candid and reflective memoir, Demi pulls back the curtain and opens up about her career and personal life – laying bare her tumultuous relationship with her mother, her marriages, her struggles balancing stardom with raising a family, and her journey toward open heartedness. Inside Out is a story of survival, success, and surrender – a wrenchingly honest portrayal of one woman’s at once ordinary and iconic life. About the author Demi Moore is an actress, producer, director and activist. She is known for her roles in St. Elmo’s Fire, About Last Night, Ghost, A Few Good Men, Indecent Proposal, G.I. Jane, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, Margin Call, among many others. Moore is also a co-founder of Thorn, a non-profit that builds technology to defend children from sexual abuse, exploitation and trafficking. Clare Pooley is a Cambridge graduate and was a Managing Partner at one of the world's biggest advertising agencies, and yet by eighteen months ago she'd become an overweight, depressed, middle-aged mother of three who was drinking more than a bottle of wine a day, and spending her evenings Googling 'Am I an alcoholic?' In a desperate bid to turn her life around, she quit drinking and started a blog. She called it Mummy Was a Secret Drinker . This book is the story of a year in Clare's life. A year that started with her quitting booze having been drinking more than a bottle of wine every day. It sees her starting a hugely successful blog, then getting and beating breast cancer. By the end of the year she is booze free and cancer free, two stone lighter and with a life that is so much richer, healthier and more rewarding than ever before. Sober Diaries is an upbeat, funny and positive look at how to live life to the full. Interwoven within Clare's own very personal and frank story is research and advice, and answers to questions like: How do I know if I'm drinking too much? How will I cope at parties? What do I say to friends and family? How do I cope with cravings? Will I lose weight? What if my partner still drinks? And many more.

When the love of Lilly's life pulled the rug out from under her in spectacular fashion, she knew something in her life needed to change. Things were only going to improve if she made some changes, and drastic ones at that. What Lilly didn't expect as a result of those changes, was finding a man that would throw her world into a spin of a different kind, and make her question everything she thought about love and happiness. What she didn't expect was to find her dream business location, and her dream man in the same place, but she did. Only trouble was, he wasn't as sold on the dream as she was, so where to from here? Tom's constantly steady life started to spin out of control after rescuing a woman stranded on the side of the road in the rain. Until that day, everything in his safe structured world was fine. He was fine. At least he thought he was. Within a matter of months, Tom found his world tipped on it's axis, and for the life of him, he couldn't stop the spinning no matter how hard he tried, and it was all because of one woman. Unexpected is the tale of two people who didn't know that something was missing until they found it. After all, life would be very boring if we knew what was waiting for us around the corner, so why not embrace the unexpected, and see where it takes you.
